What hours and /or days is Hugga-Bear Childcare open?

Hugga-Bear Childcare is open on a weekday schedule, the hours of operation are 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Weekends, after-hours, and overnight options are available to families registered with us. However they must be pre-approved by Ms. Lynda.

Do you have a background check clearance?
Yes, Ms. Lynda has a background check that was done by the state.

How long have you been a childcare provider?
Ms. Lynda has owned and operated Hugga-Bear Childcare for over 15 years. She was also a two year old teacher at a major daycare center.

How close are you to any Elementary Schools?
We are located near Northwood Elementary School.
If you are a parent searching for After School care, it would be best to contact Ms. Lynda for availability.

Do I pay even if my child is sick?
Yes you are paying for a contracted space, not on your child’s attendance.

What about vacations?
Parent vacations: Please let me know as soon as you know your vacation schedule.
Providers’ vacation: Ms. Lynda is entitled to 2 weeks (10 days) vacation and 5 sick days per year. She will always try and work with daycare families so that the vacations coincide. If she does plan to take a vacation, you will receive advance notice of no less than 1 month. As far as sick days you will be given as much notice as possible. Ms. Lynda will try to take into account the all families in the daycare but alternate care will be the responsibility of the parent(s).

Do you provide receipts?
Yes, receipts and W10 forms are provided for your income tax purposes.

What kind of payment schedules do you offer?
A fee schedule can be worked out for weekly: bi-weekly: or monthly. We ask that once on a schedule that all payments be made on time. Try to imagine if your work did not pay you on time?
 

What if I have other errands and I am late picking up my child?
A late fee of $5.00 for the first 10 minutes and a$1.00 for every minute there after will be charged for late pick ups unless advanced approval from Ms. Lynda has been given. Please remember Ms. Lynda has children of her own who need her as much as your child needs you. NOTE ON PRE-APPROVAL: This does not mean you contact Ms. Lynda at or near pick-up time. Please be considerate of her and she will always be fair to you.

Do you work for an agency?
No, Hugga-Bear Childcare is a private in-home family childcare. We are however registered with and monitored by: Bright From The Start, Quality Care For Children Food Program, and City of Roswell (Business and Fire Department).

How many children do you care for?
Hugga-Bear Childcare is registered with the state, which says that in-home family daycares can keep 6 children at a time for pay and two after-school kids. Only 3 of the 6 can be under the age of one year.
